Ellsworth Volleyball Sweeps Westbrook 3-0

The Ellsworth High School Volleyball Team picked up a much needed win on Wednesday, October 16th, beating Westbrook 3-0 at Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth. The individual set scores were 25-9, 25-7 and 25-11.

According to Coach Calandro, Ellsworth stat leaders included

• Sam Simmons 7 kills, 2 blocks
• Taylor Clark 20/20 serving, 9 aces, 4 digs
• Jocelyn Jordan 3 kills, 3 aces
• Bailey Clarke 5 aces
• Jocelyn Boudreau 11 digs

Ellsworth 2-9 is battling for the final playoff spot. They have 3 games remaining. They play at Nokomis in Newport on Friday, October 18th at 5:30 before playing their final 2 games both at home. They play Brewer on Saturday, October 19th at 12:30 and then close out the regular season against the Cony Rams on Monday, October 21st at 6PM
