The Ellsworth Volleyball Team beat Hampden Academy 3-1 on Thursday, September 25th. The individual set scores were 25-23, 23-25, 25-21 and 25-16.

Ellsworth individual standouts included

  • Brielle Grindle: 2 aces, 11 kills, 13 digs and 18 receptions.
  • Sophie Beal: 3 aces, 6 kills, 4 blocks, 1 assist and 4 digs.
  • Lauren Young: 4 aces, 1 kill, 1 assist, 16 digs and 22 receptions.
  • Shanteena Griffiths: 2 aces, 6 kills, 22 receptions and 7 digs.
  • Jordin Mann: 13 assists, 3 digs and 1 reception.
  • Sophie Harmon: 3 aces, 10 assists and 4 digs.

The Ellsworth JV team beat Hampden Academy 25-17 and 25-13.

Ellsworth is now 4-2. They will host George Stevens Academy on Friday, September 27th at 5:30 p.m.

Hampden Academy is now 3-4. They will travel to Newport to play the Nokomis Warriors on Thursday, October 3rd at 5:30 p.m.
