Ellsworth Swimming Sweeps Old Town

The Ellsworth Swim Team swept Old Town on Friday night, January 18th at the Down East Family YMCA in Ellsworth.

The Girls won 97-73 and the Boys won 105-48. The Ellsworth Swim Team is next in action on Friday, January 25th when they compete against Foxcroft Academy at the Dover-Foxcroft YMCA.

According to Coach Jim Goodman

" It was a good meet, and we had many best times achieved.  Old Town is a spirited team, and it is always fun swimming with them.  Despite some team absences from illness, and several still recovering from some winter colds, all the EHS swimmers swam well, and to the their best of their ability.  The team is pushing hard in workouts as we approach the end of the season in a couple of weeks, and the championship meets.  Personal and team goals are being achieved with the goal of peaking for the championship meets.  The team looks forward to finish up the dual meet season with two more meets to go and take on the great challenges and keen competition of the PVC Championship and State Championship meets. "
