Ellsworth – Erskine Academy Swim Meet – January 16 [RESULTS]

The Ellsworth Swim Team took on the Erskine Academy Eagles on Friday night, January 16th.

Here are the results and Jim Goodman's recap!

It was a great meet with good times, and more State qual times achieved for Ellsworth swimmers.  The small team from Erskine displayed a continuous superb spirit, dedication, and determination to excel in all event they swam with many of their swimmers in their first season of competition.  The Ellsworth swimmers likewise provided an awesome display of support and cheers to their teammates and guests.   It was a fun meet to watch and experience.   Great sportsmanship was evident through out the meet by all.  Very proud of the efforts by all swimmers and the times achieved.

Of note, this was the Ellsworth Senior Night Recognition event.   The following Seniors were recognized:

• Annika Marshall (GSA student and Girls Team Co-Captain)
• Noah Frost (Boys Team Co-Captain)
• Cavan Jester (Boys Team Co-Captain)
• Tyler Hollenback (Boys Team Co-Captain)
• Caleb Jordan
• Alexander McGowan

These Super Six Seniors along with family members were recognized in a ceremony prior to the meet organized and announced by the EHS AD, Josh Frost.   Appreciation gifts and flowers were provide to these outstanding student-athletes and parents and coordinated by several parents of the seniors to make the event special and rememberable.   (professional photos of each senior and family were taken for keepsakes of the event).  The meet was concluded by an unofficial ‘Silly Senior Relay’ by the six seniors as their send off of the last home meet, with belly flop race starts, and strange swim strokes for fun.   This was enjoyed by all.
