The Ellsworth Eagles Softball Team shutout the Washington Academy Raiders 18-0 on Tuesday, May 21st in East Machias in a mercy rule shortened game. Kenzi Chipman threw a no-hitter for the Eagles.

Chipman struck out 9 and walked 2.

The Eagles had 11 hits. Trinity Montigny led the Eagle hitting attack with 4 singles. Sara Shea had 3 hits. Sydney Stevens had 2 singles and Kayla Duhaime, Katie Hammer, Kenzi Chipman and Marissa Havey each singled for Ellsworth

Ellsworth is now 9-3 with 4 games left in the regular season. They play John Bapst at 3:30 Wednesday, May 22nd on Senior Recognition day and then play the final 3 games on the road, at Hermon on Thursday, May 23rd, at Old Town on Friday, May 24th and then finish the season on Wednesday, May 29th at 4:30
