Ellsworth Softball Falls to Washington Academy 7-2 [PHOTOS]

The Ellsworth Softball Team fell to Washington Academy 7-2 on Tuesday, May 12th at Ellsworth High School.

Bella Cirone was dominant in the circle for the Raiders, holding Ellsworth to 4 hits. She allowed 2 runs, striking out 12 and walking 4.

Kaylee Bagley started for Ellsworth and allowed 5 hits and 4 runs, 2 of which were earned in 4.0 innings. She struck out 4 and walked 1. Cam Clough came on in relief and allowed 5 hits and 3 runs, striking out 8 and walking 3 in 3.0 innings.

Meadow Rohde was 3-3 with a pair of doubles, driving in a run to lead the Raiders. Grace Howard was 2-4 with a run batted in. Riley Shimabukuro had a double. Avery Libby, Aynslee Emery, Lily Hennessey and Lilyana Balyint each had a single.

Jovi Nightingale was 2-3 leading off for Ellsworth. Lilly Ball had a double. Cam Clough had a single and drove in a run.

Washington Academy is 10-0 They will host Bucksport on Friday, May 15th at 4:30 p.m.

Ellsworth is 4-2. They will play at Hermon on Thursday, May 14th at 6 p.m.
