Ellsworth Softball Defeats GSA 3-1

The Ellsworth Softball Team defeated the George Stevens Academy Eagles in the battle of Eagles on Tuesday afternoon, April 27th at Ellsworth High School.

Tyler Hellum pitched a complete game, going 7 innings and striking out 11. She walked 2, and allowed 3 hits. GSA's run was unearned. Hellum is now 1-1 on the season.

Ladd pitched for GSA going 6 innings, striking out 8 and walking 4. She allowed 3 runs, all earned and gave up 5 hits.

For Ellsworth Alicia Havey had a double while Sara Shea, Kayla Duhaime, Hanna Hughes and Tyler Hellum all singled.

For GSA Pickering had 2 singles and Emerson had a single.

Ellsworth 1-1 will play host to Caribou in a doubleheader at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 1st.

GSA 1-1 will play at Searsport on Thursday, April 29th
