Ellsworth Softball Blanks GSA 16-0

In the Battle of Eagles, the Ellsworth Eagles Softball Team shutout the George Stevens Academy Eagles 16-0 on Wednesday, May 1st in Ellsworth in a mercy rule shortened 5 inning game.

Tyler Hellum was in the circle for Ellsworth and she threw a complete game, allowing just 1 hit, and striking out 9. She didn't walk a batter.

Ellsworth batters banged out 15 hits. Sara Shea was 3-3 and Trinity Montigny was 3-4 with a double. Katie Hammer and Marissa Havey each had 2 singles. Kayla Duhaime was 2-2 with a double. Lexi Rossi had a double.  Sydney Stevens, and Ellie Clarke each had a single Lexi Rossi had a stolen base..

Abbie Keenan had GSA's lone hit. Mallory Charette was the losing pitcher for GSA.

Ellsworth is now 2-1 and will play host to Foxcroft Academy Thursday, May 2nd at 4:30
