Ellsworth Soccer Teams Get the Weekend Off – Games with Caribou Postponed
The Ellsworth Girls and Boys Soccer Teams were set to open their 2021 season on Saturday, September 4th against the Caribou Vikings at Del Luce Stadium in Ellsworth. However, because of the COVID outbreak at Caribou High School, those games have been postponed.
No date has been set for the make-up games as of yet.
The Ellsworth Girls will be in action for their 1st game of the season on Wednesday, September 8th when they travel to Blue Hill to play the GSA Eagles at 4 p.m.
The Ellsworth Boys will play their 1st game of the season on Thursday, September 9th when they too, travel to Blue Hill to play the GSA Eagles at 4 p.m.
Saturday, September 4th, the Ellsworth Cross Country Teams will host the Ellsworth Invitational with the Girls running at 11 a.m. and the Boys running at 11:30. That meet will be held at the High School, with runners beginning at Tug White Stadium.
Saturday afternoon, the Ellsworth Football Team will host Houlton at 5 p.m. The EHS Football Team will be collecting pet food and boxes of pasta and jars of sauce that will be given to the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.
