Ellsworth Shuts Out GSA 13-0 Wednesday in Blue Hill
The Ellsworth Eagles Baseball Team shutout the GSA Eagles 13-0 in Blue Hill in a run-ruled 5-inning game.
David Baugh was dominant on the mound for Ellsworth. He allowed just 3 singles while striking out 6 and walking 2.
Meanwhile Ellsworth pounded out 12 hits.
Ellsworth batted around in the 1st inning, capped off by Hunter Curtis' 3-run homer to left field. Curtis ended the game 2-3 with a double and the homer and 4 runs batted in.
Michael Palmer was 2-3. David Baugh helped himself at the plate going 2-3, scoring twice. Brett Bragdon had a triple. Luke Horne singled in his 1st varsity at bat. Billy Garland and Craig Burnett had a double. Peter Keblinsky had a single.
Teague Smallidge started for GSA and lasted just 3.0 innings. He allowed 10 hits and 11 runs. He struck out 1 and walked 2. Haven Smith came on in relief and pitched the final 2 innings. He allowed 2 hits and 2 unearned runs. He struck out 1 and walked 2.

They play Hermon on Senior Recognition Day, Friday, May 27th at 4:30 p.m. then at Foxcroft Academy on Saturday, May 28th at 12 noon. They then close out the season at MDI on Wednesday June 1st at 4:30 p.m.
GSA is 3-11 with 2 games left in the regular season. They play at Mattanawcook Academy on Friday, May 27th at 4:30 and then close out the season at home on Tuesday, May 31st against Central at 4:30 p.m.
