Do you have a desire to served on the Ellsworth City Council, the Ellsworth School Board or as a Ellsworth Library Trustee? Nomination papers will be available beginning on Monday, August 12th for the November 5th election

To be on the ballot, nomination papers must be returned to the Ellsworth City Clerk no later  than 5 PM on Friday, September 20th. Potential candidates must have at least 50 signatures of registered voters in Ellsworth, and no more than 100 registered Ellsworth voters.

There are 3 Ellsworth City Council seats that will be on the ballot with terms expiring in 2022. Councilors with terms expiring include Marc Blanchette, Gary Fortier and Dawn Ihle-Hudson. All 3 are eligible for re-election should they submit nomination papers.

There are 2 School Board seats on the ballot with terms expiring in 2022. Current school board members with terms expiring include Joanne Avery and Paul Markosian. Both are eligible for re-election should they submit nomination papers.

There are 3 Ellsworth Library Trustee positions that will be on the ballot. There is 1 Trustee position that will expire in 2020 to replace Martha Nordstrom who has moved out of the City of Ellsworth. There is 1 Trustee position that will expire in 2012 to replace Jane McLetchie who has moved out of the City of Ellsworth. Lastly there will be a position expiring in 2022. Anne Lusby's term is expiring and she is eligible for re-election should she submit nomination papers
