Ellsworth Nips Hermon 2-1 After 2 Rounds of Penalty Kicks [PHOTOS]

The Ellsworth Eagles finally defeated the Hermon Hawks 2-1 in a Class B North Boys Soccer Prelim game, after 2 rounds, 9 penalty kicks at Del Luce Stadium in Ellsworth on Friday afternoon, October 22nd.

Hermon scored 1st, on a goal with 20:40 remaining in the 1st Half. The 1st Half ended with the Hawks up 1-0.

Ellsworth equalized on a goal by Owen Frank with 14:39 remaining in the 2nd Half.

Regulation ended with the score tied 1-1.

The 1st 10 minute overtime ended with the score deadlocked at 1-1, and after the 2nd 10 minute overtime the score was still tied 1-1.

So they turned to penalty kicks. The first round of penalty kicks ended 4-4. Ellsworth PK's were taken by
