Ellsworth Jazz Musicians Shine at Jazz Festival

Ellsworth High School Jazz Musicians represented Friday and Saturday, March 15th and 16th, competing at the Maine Music Educator Associations State Jazz Festival in South Portland.

The Ellsworth High School Jazz Band won a bronze medal in Division 4 Big Bands.

Kaitlin McCullough was awarded a "1" rating as a soloist for all three performing ensembles and was also named Outstanding Musician for Class A on flute/vocal.

Carter Frank also got three separate "1" ratings on trombone. Eden Salzig, Beckett Markosian, and Ian Brenner each received "1" ratings for two different ensembles, and Lilja Hanson, Ben Partridge, Colby Patton, Sam Pelletier, Atticus Deeny, and Mark Berry each received one "1" rating.
