USA Today announced on Wednesday, July 21st that Sean Hill of Ellsworth High School was named as the Boys Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Year for the State of Maine.

Hill who graduated in 2021, will be attending Wheaton College in the fall.

He was named to the 2021 PVC All-Academic Team

In the Virtual PVC Championships in 2021 Sean finished 1st in the 100 Yard Freestyle and 1st in the 200 Yard Freestyle. He swam the anchor leg for the 200 Yard Medley Relay Team that came in 2nd and the anchor leg for the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay Team that came in 4th.

In the State Championships held in February 2020 Sean finished 1st in the 100 Yard Freestyle, 2nd in the 200 Yard Freestyle and swam the anchor leg for the Ellsworth 400 Yard Freestyle Team that finished 1st.
