Ellsworth High School Spanish Teacher Honored

Congratulations to Ellsworth High School Spanish teacher, Carrie Kutny, who has been chosen to receive a scholarship from the Spanish Government for a two week course at the University of Salamanca, Spain

As part of the process Mrs. Kutny  was required to submit two essays about what she hoped to learn and how she would share that information with other World Language teachers in Maine. The Consulate of Spain put forth this professional development opportunity through the Maine Department Of Education for Spanish teachers at Maine Public Schools.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Mrs. Kutny this past winter during halftime of one of the Ellsworth Basketball games, and she talked about the upcoming trip she's leading for Ellsworth High School students to Spain, France and New York April 12th-23rd this year!
