One of the best traditions of Ellsworth High School is the Senior Salute. The Graduating Class heads back to the sending elementary/middle schools and walk the hallways in their caps and gowns to the applause and high fives of K-8 students and teachers.

Of course this year, with the COVID-19 pandemic, that is out of the question. However to the credit of parents, students, local officials and the community the Senior Salute has morphed for 2020 to a car procession on Wednesday night, June 10th, starting at 6 p.m.

The Ellsworth Community is invited to line the streets, maintaining proper social distancing to cheer on the Class of 2020. The procession starts at the Maine Coast Mall parking lot, and will proceed up High Street, turning onto Main Street and going up State Street. The procession will end at Ellsworth High School where Seniors will go through the bus loop in front of the school picking up a large pizza
