Ellsworth High School Class of 2025 Honors Parts

The Ellsworth High School Class of 2025 will graduate on Friday, June 6th, at 6 p.m. Graduation is scheduled to be outdoors, weather permitting in Del Luce Stadium. In the event of inclement weather, graduation will take place inside Katsiaficas Gymnasium.

Here are the Honors Parts.

Cady Gleason is the Class of 2025 Valedictorian. Cady has earned a 101 grade point average over her four year high school career. She has taken twenty three honors, AP and Concurrent Enrollment courses and has earned 32 college credits. Cady will earn her Honors Diploma, STEM Academy Diploma and a VPA Academy Diploma which makes her the first student to complete two Academies. She is a member of the National Honor Society, National Science Honor Society and Tri-M Honor Society. She participates in Student Council, Band, Pep Band, Jazz Band and Jazz Combo. Awards she has earned are the Maine Principals’ Association Principals’ Award, Academic excellence in English, Music, Spanish, Music Wall of Fame, a 1-rating solo recognition, highest honors every quarter, Society of Women's Engineers award, Gold rating for Jazz Ensemble, All State Band, and two outstanding musicianship awards at the State Jazz Festival. Cady has completed a summer apprenticeship at Jackson Lab after her sophomore year. She also participates in Track and Field and works part time at Flex-It on weekends and during the summer. Cady plans to attend Allegheny College in Pennsylvania to study Neuroscience

Olivia Snow is the Class of 2025 Salutatorian. She has earned a 100.68 grade point average over her four year career. Olivia has taken seventeen Honors, AP and Concurrent Enrollment classes and has earned 27 college credits. She is a four year member of the Symphonic Band, Pep Band and Jazz Band. Olivia was selected for the prestigious Consider Engineering summer program at UMaine. She will graduate with a Honors Diploma and STEM Diploma. She is the President of the National Science Honor Society and is a member of the National Honor Society. Olivia is a four year member of the math team and volleyball team. Some awards and other achievements include: AP Scholar with Distinction, Bausch and Lomb Award, College Board Rural and Small Town Award, numerous academic awards for highest grades in all content areas in language, math, science, social studies, PE and VPA. Olivia is going to the University of Maine to study Chemical Engineering.

Olivia Leighton is the “Choice Speaker” for the Class of 2025. Olivia is the 2025 MACTE Student of the Year at Hancock County Technical Center. She is also a three time state champion cheerleader, Member of the National Honors Society, Class Vice President, President of the National Technical Honor Society, won gold for Nursing Assistant in Maine SkillsUSA and developed and teaches a babysitting course. She earned 26 college credits in her high school career and will have the opportunity to graduate college a year early. Olivia is attending the University of Maine to study Nursing
