Ellsworth Girls Tennis Nips Belfast, EHS Boys Fall to Lions

The Ellsworth Girls and Boys Tennis Teams opened their 2021 season on a windy Friday afternoon at Ellsworth High School when they were challenged by the Belfast Lilons Teams. When all was said and done, the Ellsworth Girls narrowly won 3-2 while the Ellsworth Boys fell 1-4. Here are the individual match results

Girls

• 1st Singles - Bailey Clarke  lost 1-8
• 2nd Singles - Megan Jordan won 8-2
• 3rd Singles - Elizabeth Frost lost 2-8
• 1st Doubles - Jocelyn Boudreau/Grace Gumpp won 8-4
• 2nd Doubles - Briana Kane/Kahlan Keene won 8-2

Boys

• 1st Singles - Liam Stephenson lost 1-8
• 2nd Singles - Dallas Flood  lost 4-8
• 3rd Singles - Ellsworth forfeited
• 1st Doubles - Kai Barrett/Koa Barrett won 8-4
• 2nd Doubles - Eli Pouwels/Tyler Goodman lost 2-8

The Varsity Tennis teams return to the court when they play at Washington Academy on Monday, April 26th at 4 p.m.
