The Ellsworth Girls Soccer Team defeated the John Bapst Crusaders 2-1 on Thursday, October 14th under the lights at Del Luce Stadium in Ellsworth.

John Bapst scored 1st with 20:35 remaining in the 1st Half.

But Ellsworth tied it, when Addi Laslie found the back of the net with the assist from Miah Coffin with 5:09 remaining in the 1st Half.

The score ended deadlocked at 1-1 at the end of the 1st Half.

The Eagles scored the winning goal with just 1:16 elapsed in the 2nd Half. Paige Sawyer scored, assisted by Miah Coffin.

Ellsworth is now 9-3 with 2 games remaining. They will play host to Presque Isle Friday afternoon, October 14th and then close out the regular season on Tuesday, October 19th in Bar Harbor against the Trojans.

John Bapst is 7-4. They have 2 games remaining. They play Saturday afternoon in Bar Harbor against MDI and then close out the regular season on Tuesday, October 19th against Hermon
