Ellsworth Girl’s Soccer Beats MDI 4-0 in Last Regular Season Game

The Ellsworth Girl's Soccer Team beat MDI 4-0 in the last regular season game for both teams. The game was played on Tuesday night, October 22nd and was  played at Del Luce Stadium in Ellsworth.

Prior to the game, Ellsworth High School recognized the following seniors who were playing their last regular season game. They were

• Layni Ray
• Kelsie Lambert
• Miah Coffin (injured)
• Lily Bean
• Taylor Libby
• Abby Radel
• Sydney Libby
• Emily King
• Addison Atherton

Ellsworth scored all 4 goals in the 1st Half

With 8:13 gone in the 1st Half, Lizzie Boles scored, assisted by Lily Bean. Then with 10:45 gone, Kelsie Lambert scored, assisted by Boles. With 17:54 remaining in the Half, Addison Atherton scored, assisted by Boles. The final goal was scored by Kaylee Bagley, with 12:57 left in the game, assisted by Lily Bean.

Allie Bivens was in goal for Ellsworth and recorded the shutout.

Ellsworth finishes the regular season with a 8-4-2 record and will go into the Class B North Tournament in 7th place.

MDI finishes the regular season with a 1-13-0 record, tied for 16th.

In your nomination please include stats, the school and why they should be athlete of the week. Nominations will be accepted through Sunday, October 27th, with voting taking place October 28th-31st with the winner of Week 8 being announced on November 1st.
