The Ellsworth Girls Soccer team beat Bucksport 7-1 on Senior Recognition Night at Del Luce Stadium in the pouring rain on Friday, October 2nd. The game was finally called with 16:52 remaining in the 2nd Half.

Senior Sierra Andrews scored a hat-trick to pace the Eagles.

She scored the 1st goal of the game with 32:17 remaining in the 1st Half.

Abby Bland made it 2-0 just 9 seconds later, scoring with 32:06 left.

Andrews scored her 2nd goal 20 seconds later, to make it 3-0, with 31:46 remaining.

Paige Sawyer continued the onslaught, making it 4-0 with 1:03 elapsed. Ellsworth scored 4 goals in 1 minute and 34 seconds.

Addi Laslie made it 5-0 with 20:07 remaining in the 1st Half and Lexi Rossi made it 6-0 with 4:40 remaining in the 1st Half.

Bucksport got on the board when Ella Hosford scored on a penalty kick with 52 seconds gone in the 2nd Half.

Andrews scored her hat trick with 19:14 left in the 2nd Half.

Ellsworth had 25 shots on goal while Bucksport finished with 8 shots on net.

Ellsworth is 1-1 on the season and will play at MDI on Friday, October 9th at 6 p.m. in a game that game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.

Bucksport, now 1-1 plays at home on Monday, October 5th at 4 p.m. against Washington Academy.
