Ellsworth Girls Rally to Beat Caribou 39-28

The Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team trailed Caribou 10-7 at the end of the 1st Quarter, and were tied 15-15 at the end of the 1st Half. The Eagles outscored the Vikings 24-13 in the 2nd Half to beat Caribou 39-28 at Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth on Friday, January 24th.

Ellsworth led 28-19 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Ellsworth was led by Trinity Montigny with 18 points. Kylie Robidoux and Casey Carter each had 6 points. The Eagles made 5 3-pointers on the night. Montigny had 3 3-pointers and Casey Carter and Samantha Carter each had a 3-pointer. The Eagles were 8-10 from the free throw line.

Caribou was led by Paige Espling with 11 points while Taylor Skidgel had 5 points. Skidgel had Caribou's lone 3-pointer. The Vikings were 11-17 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 8-5 and will host Presque Isle at 1p.m. on Saturday, January 25th.

Caribou is now 5-10 and will play at MDI on Saturday, January 25th at 1 p.m. in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.
