Ellsworth Girls Make a Statement with 94-20 over Foxcroft Academy [STATS]

The Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team wanted to make a statement on Wednesday, when they took on the Foxcroft Academy Ponies in Dover-Foxcroft. They wanted to serve notice they were going to defend their Gold Ball from last year, and they wanted a little revenge against the Ponies. The last time Ellsworth played in Dover-Foxcroft, the Ponies beat Ellsworth 55-42 on January 24th, 2022. After beating the Ponies on Wednesday night 94-20, you could say the Eagles delivered their statement.

Ellsworth led 29-5 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 51-11 at the Half. The Eagles were up 70-16 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Every Ellsworth player scored. They were led by Grace Jaffray with 28 points, while Abby Radel had 20 points. Freshman Sydney Mason finished with 12 points. Ellsworth had 5 3-pointers. Abby Radel had 2 3's, while Elise Sargent, Addison Atherton and Grace Jaffray each drained a 3-pointer. Ellsworth was 13-22 from the free throw line.

Foxcroft Academy was led by Alli Cook with 7 points while Allie Smith had 6 points. Halle Page had a 3-pointer. The Ponies were 5-8 from the free throw line
