Ellsworth Girls Keep Their Composure Beat Old Town 35-25 [Box Score]

In a game that at times resembled a WWE wrestling match, hockey game and basketball game the Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team maintained their composure, sank their foul shots and beat the Old Town Coyotes on Saturday, February 3rd at Mackenzie Gymnasiium in Old Town on Saturday, February 3rd.

The Eagles took a 7-5 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter. Trinity Montigny had 6 points with a 3-pointer, and Kaitlynn Bagley had 1 point for Ellsworth. For Old Town Jenessa Brown had 3 points and Hannah Richard had 2 points.

In the 2nd Quarter, Ellsworth outscored Old Town 8-3 to take a 15-8 lead at the end of the 1st Half. Bagley had 5 points, Hannah Sargent went 2-3 from the free throw line and Sierra Andrews went 1-2 from the charity stripe. For Old Town Richards had a 3-pointer.

Ellsworth led 21-15 at the end of the 3rd Quarter. Montigny had 5 points including a 3-pointer and Kylie Robidoux was 1-2 from the free throw line. Richards had 5 points including a 3-pointer and Claudia Damboise had 2 points.

In the 4th Quarter Ellsworth was 8-13 from the free throw line. Montigny had 5 points, Bagley and Sargent each had 3 points, Andrews had 2 points and Samantha Carter 1 point for the Eagles. For Old Town Richards had 5 points, Mackenzie Folsom and Damboise had 2 points each and Jasmine Smith had 1 point.

Ellsworth was led by Trinity Montigny had 16 points and Kaitlynn Bagley had 9 points. The Eagles were 16-29 from the free throw line.

Old Town was led by Hannah Richards with 15 points. The Coyotes were 5-11 from the free throw line.
