Ellsworth Girls Fall to Hermon 50-30 [PHOTOS]

The Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team fell to the Hermon Hawks 50-30 on Saturday, February 1st in Hermon.

Ellsworth led 6-3 at the end of the 1st Quarter until Charlotte Caron hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to tie the score 6-6. Trinity Montigny had 6 points for Ellsworth with a 3-pointer and Sierra Andrews was 1-2 from the free throw line. For Hermon, Caron had the 3-pointer and Paige Plissey had 2 points and Megan Tracy was 1-2 from the free throw line.

Hermon outscored Ellsworth 17-9 in the 2nd Quarter to take a 23-15 lead at the end of the 1st Half. For Hermon Plissey had 8 points, and Tracy had 3 points. Allie Cameron, Maddie Lebel and Grace Page each chipped in with 2 points. For Ellsworth Morgan Clifford had 4 points with a 3-pointer. Montigny had 3 points and Jocelyn Jordan had 2 points.

In the 3rd Quarter Hermon outscored Ellsworth 16-9 to increase their lead to 39-24. Maddie Lebel and Megan Tracy each had 4 points for Hermon. Plissey and Caron each had a 3-pointer. Allie Cameron had 2 points. For Ellsworth Montigny had 4 points and Jocelyn Jordan and Autumn Paul each had 2 points.

In the 4th Quarter for Ellsworth Jordan, Carter and Sierra Andrews had 2 points. For Hermon Sadie Campbell, Plissey, Caron Tracy and Elizabeth Wyman each had 2 points while Allie Cameron had 1 point.

Ellsworth was led by Trinity Montigny with 13 points while Jocelyn Jordan had 6 points. The Eagles were 8-17 from the free throw line.

Hermon was led by Paige Plissey with a game high 15 points while Megan Tracy had 10 points. Hermon was 15-27 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 10-7 with 1 game remaining in the regular season. They will take on MDI in Bar Harbor on Wednesday, February 5th at 7 pm in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.

Hermon is 15-1 and will play host to MDI on Monday, February 3rd at 7 pm in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.
