Ellsworth Girls Double Up GSA 62-29

The Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team handily beat the GSA Eagles in the Battle of Hancock County Eagles on Saturday afternoon, 62-29 at Katsiaficas Gymnasium.

Ellsworth jumped out to a 20-5 1st Quarter lead. Kylie Robidoux pounded inside for 6 points, Kayla DuHaime had 5 points and Trinity Montigny 4 points. Sierra Andrews drained a 3-pointer and Autumn Paul had a shot off the glass for 2 points. For GSA Evelyn Dagan had 3 points and Vanessa Sherwood 2 points.

In the 2nd Quarter, Ellsworth outscored GSA 17-9 to take a 37-14 half time lead. Samantha Carter drained 3 3's and added a field goal for 11 points. Sara Shea added 4 and Robidoux chipped in 2 for Ellsworth. For GSA Mallory Charette added 6 points, Sophia Biggie 2 points and Sherwood 1 points.

In the 3rd Quarter it was more Ellsworth as they outscored GSA 12-8 to take a 49-22 lead. Montigny had 6 points, Samantha Higgins4 points and Shea 2 points for Ellsworth. Luna Perry-St.Peter had 4 points, and Dagan and Julianna Aleen 2 points each.

In the 4th Quarter, Montigny had 6 points, Higgins 4 points, Carter 2 points ans Adreanna Seavey 1 point as she was 1-2 from the free throw line. GSA received 4 points from Biggie, 2 from Perry-St.Peter and 1 from Sherwood.

Ellsworth was paced by Trinity Montigny with a game high 16 points. Samantha Carter had 11 points and Kylie Robidoux, Samantha Higgins and Sara Shea each added 8 points. Ellsworth was 4-11 from the free throw line.

GSA was paced by Luna Perry-St.Peter, Sophia Biggie and Mallory Charette with 6 points each. GSA was 7-31 from the free throw line.
