Ellsworth Girls Defeat Brewer 61-45 in Preseason Scrimmage [STATS]

The Ellsworth Eagles Girls Basketball Team defeated Brewer 61-45 in Ellsworth in a preseason scrimmage on Tuesday night, December 6th.

Ellsworth jumped out to a 16-9 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter and led 31-21 at the end of the 1st Half. The Eagles led 44-34 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Ellsworth was led by Grace Jaffray who had a game high 22 points. Abby Radel had 12 points. Ellsworth was 9-10 from the the free throw line and had 4 3-pointers. Radel had 2 3's and Morgan Clifford and Grace Jaffray each had a 3-pointer.

Brewer was led by Allie Flagg with 15 points. Jenna McQuarrie had 10 points. The Witches were 9-22 from the free throw line. They had 2 3-pointers, with Jillian Ford and Allie Flagg each sinking a 3-pointer.

Ellsworth opens the regular season on Saturday afternoon, December 10th at Mount View at 4 p.m. That game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.

Brewer opens the regular season on Friday, December 9th at Skowhegan at 7 p.m.
