Ellsworth Girls Beat Washington Academy 55-36

The Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team beat the Washington Academy Raiders 55-36 on Friday night, January 4th in East Machias. The game was originally scheduled to be played on Thursday, the 3rd, but had been postponed.

Ellsworth jumped out to a 13-6 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter and led 23-18 at the end of the 1st Half. It was 38-30 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Ellsworth was led by Trintiy Montigny with a game high 31 points including 7 3-pointers. Kylie Robidoux had 8 points Ella Hubbard and Sierra Andrews each had a 3-pointer. Ellsworth was 4-11 from the free throw line.

Washington Academy was led by Raeanah Reynolds with 20 points including 2 3's. The Raiders were 6-8 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 7-1 and are right back in action on Saturday, January 5th when they travel to Hermon to play the Hawks at 1:30

Washington Academy is 0-8 and they too are back in action on Saturday, January 5th when they travel to Dover Foxcroft to play Foxcroft Academy at 1:30
