The Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team beat the John Bapst Crusaders 44-35 at Katsiaficas Gymnasium in the Quarterfinals on Tuesday March 2nd. The Eagles will advance to play the Old Town Coyotes on Friday, March 5th at 5:30 p.m. in Old Town in the PVC Class B semifinals.

Ellsworth jumped out to a 16-12 lead in the 1st Quarter. Kylie Robidoux, Casey Carter and Jocelyn Jordan each had 4 points for Ellsworth. Morgan Clifford and Autumn Paul had 2 points. For John Bapst Savannah Libby hit 2 3-pointers for 6 points. Jamie McQuarrie drained a 3-pointer and Jamey Satterfield had 3 points.

In the 2nd Quarter John Bapst rallied, outscoring Ellsworth 11-8 to cut Ellsworth's lead to 24-23 at the end of the 1st Half. Sattterfield had 4 points, Kate Harriman was 3-4 from the free throw line for 3 points. Jayden Schoppee and Lacey Scanlon each had 3 points. For Ellsworth Morgan Clifford had 4 points and Kylie Robidoux and Sierra Andrews each had 2 points.

In the 3rd Quarter Ellsworth outscored John Bapst 12-5 to take a 36-28 lead at the end of the 3rd Quarter. Kylie Robidoux, Sierra Andrews and Jocelyn Jordan each had 4 points for the Eagles. Lacey Scanlon had 4 points for the Crusaders while Savannah Libby was 1-2 from the free throw line.

In the 4th Quarter, Jocelyn Jordan, Autumn Paul, Kylie Robidoux and Sierra Andrews each had 2 points for Ellsworth. For the Crusaders Lacey Scanlon had 5 points with a 3-pointer while Jamie McQuarrie was 2-2 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth was led by Kylie Robidoux with a game high 12 points while Jocelyn Jordan had 10 points.  Ellsworth was 8-10 from the free throw line

John Bapst was led by Lacey Scanlon with 11 points. The Crusaders were 11-15 from the free throw line.
