Ellsworth Girls Beat Hermon 76-18 [STATS]

The Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team beat the Hermon Hawks 76-18 on Friday night, December 15th in Ellsworth.

Before everyone gets in an uproar over the point differential, EVERY available player for Ellsworth, played and scored.

Ellsworth led 21-4 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 35-9 at the end of the 1st Half. The Eagles were on top 60-14 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Ellsworth was led by Grace Jaffray with 16 points while Abby Radel had 14 points. The Eagles sank 8 3-pointers in the game. Elise Sargent, injured all of last year, sank 3 3-pointers. Grace Jaffray had 3 3's and Syndey Mason (a freshman) and Elizabeth Boles each had a 3-pointer. Ellsworth was 8-12 from the free throw line.

Hermon was led by Rebecca Balmas and Bella Bowden each of whom had 4 points. The Hawks didn't sink any 3-pointers and were 2-11 from the free throw line.

Hermon now 0-3 will travel to Dover-Foxcroft to play the Ponies on Tuesday, December 19th at 7 p.m.

Ellsworth, now 2-0, will host MDI on Monday, December 18th at 7 p.m. That game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our FREE downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device. The game will tip-off at 7 p.m. with the pregame starting at 6:40 p.m.
