Ellsworth Girls Beat Foxcroft Academy 43-27 [PHOTOS/STATS]

The Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team traveled to Dover-Foxcroft on Monday afternoon, January 20th, coming home with a 43-27 win over the Foxcroft Academy Ponies.

Ellsworth led 11-4 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 17-10 at the end of the 1st Half. The Eagles were on top 32-16 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Ellsworth was led by Kaylee Bagley who had a game-high 17 points, including 12 points in the 3rd Quarter when the Eagles outscored the Ponies 15-6. Austyn Atherton had 10 points. Bagley and Austyn Atherton each had 2 3-pointers. Ellsworth was a perfect 7-7 from the free throw line.

A special shout-out to Violette Ray and Allie Bivins who have progressed so much and are playing with such confidence as the injuries have piled-up for the Eagles.

Foxcroft Academy was led by Nola Mason with 11 points and a 3-pointer. Madyson Kimball had 10 points and 2 3-pointers. The Ponies were 2-4 from the free throw line.

Foxcroft Academy is now 4-9. They will travel to Old Town on Wednesday, January 22nd to play the Coyotes at 7 p.m.

Ellsworth is now 9-4. The Eagles travel up to Aroostook County to play Caribou on Friday, January 24th at 6 p.m.
