The Ellsworth Girl's Basketball Team used a dominant 3rd Quarter, outscoring the John Bapst Crusaders 10-4 to put the game away and beat John Bapst 49-29 in Ellsworth on Tuesday, December 16th.

Ellsworth led 12-7 at the end of the 1st Quarter, 28-19 at the end of the 3rd Quarter and 38-23 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

The Eagles were led by Elizabeth Boles who finished with a game-high 19 points, including a 3-pointer. Kaylee Bagley had 13 points with 2 3's and Sydney Mason had 10 points with 2 3-pointers. Austyn Atherton had a 3-pointer. The Eagles were 3-8 from the free throw line.

John Bapst was led by Stella Goetz with 9 points, with Hailee Dearborn and Amelia Turner each netting 6 points. Turner had 2 3's and Jessie Grant had 1 3-pointer. The Crusaders were 4-12 from the free throw line.

John Bapst is now 2-2. The Crusaders will head up to Aroostook County to play the Presque Isle Wildcats on Saturday, December 20th at 2 p.m.

Ellsworth is unbeaten at 4-0. They will travel to Hermon to play the Hawks on Friday, December 19th at 7 p.m.
