Ellsworth Falls to Old Town in 10 Innings 3-2
The Ellsworth Eagles fell to the Old Town Coyotes on Monday, May 22nd, 3-2 in 10 innings, in a game played in Ellsworth. The game was originally supposed to have been played on May 15th but rain had postponed the game.
Conner Wagstaff pitched 7 2/3 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits. He struck out 4 and walked 5. Austin Baron pitched the final 2 1/3 innings , allowing 2 hits, walking 2 and giving up 2 runs.
Old Town pitching allowed 5 hits walked 9 and struck out 10.
Brad Smith and Sam Horne each had 2 singles for Ellsworth while Chris Barnes had a single.
For Old Town Ethan Stoddard had 3 singles, Dominic D'Angelo had 2 singles, Austin Sheehan had a single and so did Nick Swift.
Ellsworth is now 8-4 and plays at Washington Academy on Tuesday, May 23rd at 4:30 PM.
Old Town is now 10-3 and plays host to Orono on Wednesday, May 24th at 4:30 PM
