Ellsworth Eagles Volleyball Team Beats GSA Thursday

In the Battle of the Eagles, the Ellsworth Eagles Volleyball Team defeated the Ellsworth Eagles in straight sets on Thursday, September 11th at Katsiaficas Gymnasium The individual set scores were 25-20, 25-16, and 26-21.

Individual Ellsworth standouts according to Coach Dyer were:

Caitlin Jenkins: 6 aces, 1 kill, 6 digs
Austyn Atherton: 8 aces, 4 kills, 2 assists, 6 digs
Sophia Harmon: 1 kill, 7 assists, 5 digs
Sophie Beal: 4 aces, 7 kills, 9 digs
Lauren Young: 2 aces, 3 kills, 7 digs
Jordin Mann: 1 ace and 9 assists
Greenlee Harmon: 4 kills, 2 blocks, 2 digs and 1 assist.

Ellsworth is now 2-2. They will host Lakes Region on Saturday, September 13th at 12:30. with the JV playing at 11 am. .

GSA is now 3-1. They will travel to play at Machias on Friday, September 19th at 5:30 p.m.

The Ellsworth JV team won in straight sets with scores of:

25-5, 25-12, 25-8.
