Trailing 3-2 the Ellsworth Eagles scored 2 runs in the top of the 7th inning to beat the Hermon Hawks in Hermon 4-3 on Monday, May 4th.

In the 7th Jackson Berry singles, scoring Evan Haskell and then Gunner Vines hit a sacrifice fly scoring Dawson Curtis.

Jackson Berry picked up the win for the Eagles, going 6.2 innings, allowing 5 hits and 3 runs. He struck out 1 and walked 2. Vines struck out the final batter for the save.

The Eagles had 9 hits. Curtis was 2-4 and Vines was 2-3 with 2 runs batted in. Caleb Jordan was 2-3. Evan Haskell was 1-4 with a RBI. Jackson Barry helped himself at the plate going 1-3 with a run batted in. Brayden Pooler had a pinch-hit single.

Mason Kinney pitched 5.1 innings, allowing 6 hits and 2 runs, striking out 10 and walking 2.  Mike Fowler took the loss pitching 1.2 innings allowing 3 hits and 2 runs, striking out 1.

Cam Morrison had a double. Edgar Leclerc was 2-2. Eli Cormier and Dylan Phair each had a single

Ellsworth is 3-0. They are hosting Old Town on Tuesday, May 5th at 4:30 p.m

Hermon is 1-2. They will host Brewer on Wednesday, May 6th at 4:30 p.m.
