The Ellsworth Eagles beat the MDI Trojans 5-2 in extra innings, to stay unbeaten in Bar Harbor on Monday, May 11th.

The game was tied 2-2 at the end of 7 innings, with the Eagles pushing across 3 runs in the top of the 8th to win the game.

Jackson Barry started on the mound for Eagles and went 6.1 innings. He allowed 8 hits and 2 runs, striking out 12 and walking 3. Dawson Curtis picked up the win pitching 1.1 innings and allowing 1 hit while striking out 2. Evan Haskell picked up the save, with1 strike out.

Colin Sullivan took the loss going 7.0 innings, and allowing 6 hits and 4 runs. He struck out 13 and walked 1. Preston Tripp allowed 2 hits and 1 run, striking out 1 and walking a batter.

Jackson Barry was 3-4 at the plate, with a double and driving in a run for Ellsworth. Gunnar Vines was 2-4 with a pair of runs batted in. Dawson Curtis had a double and drove in a run. Porter Merrill had a single and drove in a run. Brayden Pooler had a single

Curtis, Haskell and Barry each had a stolen base for Ellsworth.

Mason Lapointe was 3-4 for MDI. Alister Frongillo had a double. Colin Sullivan  and Cameron Graham each had a single and run batted in. Brycen Chipman and Spencer Grierson each had a single.

Colin Sullivan swiped 2 bases to lead the Trojans. Graham, Lapointe, Tripp and Grierson each had a stolen base.

Ellsworth is now 6-0. They will play host to Washington Academy on Tuesday, May 12th at 4:30 p.m.

MDI is 4-4. They will play host to John Bapst on Thursday, May 14th at 4:30 p.m.
