Ellsworth Eagles Championship Saturday – How to Listen and Stream the Games
It's Championship Saturday! The last one out of Ellsworth please lock the door to the City! The Ellsworth Girls play at 2 p.m. and the Ellsworth Boys will take the court around 3:45, after the trophy presentation and the cutting down of the nets from the Girls game.
The Ellsworth Girls take on Old Town, the #1 seed. Ellsworth the #3 seed has lost just 3 games all season long, twice to Caribou and once to Old Town. They avenged their losses to the Vikings, beating them in the semifinals and look to do the same against the undefeated Coyotes. Old Town beat Ellsworth, 61-58 in Old Town on December 27th.
The winner of Ellsworth-Old Town game will play Spruce Mountain, who upset Oceanside 56-47 to win the Southern Maine Class B Championship Friday night. The State Title game is Saturday, March 4th at 1:05 p.m. in Portland at the Cross Insurance Arena.
The undefeated and #1 seeded Ellsworth Boys take on #3 Orono. Ellsworth beat Orono 60-49 in Ellsworth in their lone meeting this season.
The winner of the Eagles-Riots game will play #1 Oceanside who beat Yarmouth 71-67 in overtime.
