The Ellsworth Boys Basketball Team improved to 2-1 on the season with a 69-43 win Monday night, December 18th at Katsiaficas Gymnasium.

Ellsworth led 16-15 but used a 14-2 run in the 2nd Quarter to take a 30-17 lead at the end of the 1st Half. Old Town cut the lead by 1 point in the 3rd Quarter 47-35 as they outscored Ellsworth 18-17 but the 4th Quarter belong to Ellsworth as they outshot the Coyotes 22-8 en route to the 69-43 win.

Ellsworth shot 6-17 from 3-point land and 9-17 from the free throw line. Ellsworth was led by Jackson Curtis with a game high 20 points, while Zach Harris had 17 points and Jared Hamilton added 14 points. Harris had 3 3-pointers, and Dylan Taplin, Darby Barry and Andrew McCullough each added 1 3-pointer.

Old Town shot 6-14 from 3-point land and 3-9 from the free throw line. The Coyotes were led by Colby Archer with 11 points and Travis Spell with 8 points. Archer had 3 3-pointers, and Kyle Berube, Logan Doucette and Matt Seymour each had 1 3-pointer.

Ellsworth now 2-1 plays host to Belfast Friday, December 22nd at 6:30PM

Old Town 1-2 plays host to John Bapst tonight, Tuesday December 19th at 7PM.
