The Ellsworth Boys Soccer Team defeated Hermon 2-1 in double overtime, Saturday, September 22nd on a very cold, windy day in Hermon.

The game was tied 0-0 at the end of the 1st Half. In the 2nd Half Nate Mason scored with 33:26 remaining.

Hermon tied the score with 24:42 remaining and the game remained tied 1-1 at the end of regulation.

With the score tied, both teams were looking for the golden goal to give their side the victory. The score remain knotted 1-1 at the end of the 1st overtime.

With the game looking at it was going to remain a 1-1 tie, Mason scored to end the game and give Ellsworth the victory with just 51 seconds remaining in the double overtime.

Ellsworth had 10 shots and 5 saves.

Ellsworth now 1-7 hosts John Bapst on Monday, September 24th at 6 PM.

Hermon 3-3-3 plays at Old Town on Wednesday, September 26th at 3:30PM
