Ellsworth Boys Remain Unbeaten – Defeat Caribou 75-44 [STATS]

The Ellsworth Boys Basketball Team remained unbeaten, defeating the Caribou Vikings 75-44 at Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth on Thursday night, December 23rd.

Ellsworth raced out to a 27-2 at the end of the 1st Quarter, and it was 45-16 at the end of the1st Half. Ellsworth led 67-32 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Ellsworth had 3 players in double figures. Chance Mercier had a game high 24 points. Both Hunter Curtis and Gage Hardy finished with 12 points. Ellsworth was 4-13 from the free throw line. The Eagles had 5 3-pointers on the night, with Chance Mercier sinking 3, and Brett Bragdon the other 2 3-pointers.

Caribou was paced by Kaymen Sargen with 12 points. Braeden Sargent and Avery Thibodeau each had 8 points. The Vikings were 2-7 at the free throw line. They sank 8 3-pointers on the night. Kaymen Sargent had 4 3-pointers, and Avery Thibodeau and Braden Sargent each had 2 3-pointers.

Ellsworth is now 5-0 and will play the Old Town Coyotes next, on Tuesday, December 28th at Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth at 7 p.m. That game will be broadcast on the Ellsworth High School You Tube Channel.

Caribou is 0-6 and will play host to Foxcroft Academy on Tuesday, December 28th at 4:30 p.m.
