Ellsworth Boys Fall to Presque Isle 54-31

The Ellsworth Boy's Basketball Team fell to Presque Isle 54-31 on Saturday, December 31st dropping the Eagles to 4-3 on the season.

Presque Isle led 12-9 at the end of the 1st Quarter, 20-16 at the end of the 1st Half. The Wildcats outscored Ellsworth 17-5 in the 3rd Quarter to take a 37-21 lead.

Presque Isle was led by Grant Stewart with 14 points, while Jacob Kinney had 11 points and Griffin Guerrette had 10. Guerrette had a 3-pointer for Presque Isle. The Wildcats were 15-22 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth was led by Zach Harris with 11 points. Bryce Harmon had 6 points. Harris had 3 3-pointers, Dylan Taplin and Trent Mahon each had a 3-pointer. The Eagles were 4-6 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth, now 4-3 will be back in action on Monday, January 2nd at 2:30 when they play host to Caribou in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA and WDEA Internet Radio.

Presque Isle, 4-1, will play at Fort Kent on Monday, January 2nd at 7 PM.
