Ellsworth Boys Defeat Bangor 56-35 in Preseason Scrimmage [PHOTOS]

The Ellsworth Boys Basketball Team defeated Bangor 56-35 in a preseason scrimmage at Red Barry Gymnasium in Bangor on Monday, November 28th.

Ellsworth led 17-6 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 30-21 at the end of the 1st Half. The Eagles led 46-26 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Chance Mercier for Ellsworth was the leading scorer with 25 points. Miles Palmer had 9 points. Miles Palmer and Peter Keblinsky each had a 3-pointer. The Eagles were 2-3 from the free throw line.

Bangor was led by Ryan Ford and Connor Boone who each finished with 10 points. Wyatt Stevens and Liam Vigue each had a 3-pointer for Bangor. The Rams were 7-16 from the free throw line.

Bangor opens the season on Friday, December 9th at 6:30 p.m. at Cheverus.

Ellsworth opens the season on Saturday, December 10th at 1 p.m. at Mount View. That game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.
