Ellsworth Boys Beat Washington Academy 76-59 [STATS]

The Ellsworth Boys Basketball Team beat the Washington Academy Raider 76-59 on Saturday afternoon, December 30th at home.

Washington Academy led 17-15 at the end of the 1st Quarter, but after a 23-12 2nd Quarter, Ellsworth led 38-29. Washington Academy came out in the 3rd Quarter on a 7-0 run, to cut the score with 2, 38-36, before Ellsworth outscored them 25-17 to take a 63-46 lead at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Ellsworth was led by Chance Mercier with 24 points. Braden King had 13 points and Kyle Kenny had 11 points. The Eagles drained 9 3-pointers on the afternoon with Mercier and King draining 3 each. MIles Palmer sank 2 3's and Josiah James-Chin the other for the Eagles. Ellsworth was 7-13 from the free throw line.

Cam Crosman had 27 points for the Raiders and Max Cates had 12 points. Washington Academy sank 10 3's on the afternoon. Crosman had 4 3's for the Raiders, with Donavan Marzoll sinking 3 3's. Max Cates had 2 3-pointers and Ben Hennessey the other. Washington Academy was 5-6 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 6-1. They will travel to Old Town on Thursday, January 4th to play the Coyotes at 7 p.m.

Washington Academy is now 3-5. They will travel to Woodland on Thursday 4th to play at 6:30 p.m.
