Ellsworth Boys Beat Presque Isle 68-34 Saturday [STATS]

The Ellsworth Boys Basketball Team outscored Presque Isle 42-11 in the 2nd Half and beat the Wildcats 68-34 on Saturday, December 21st in Ellsworth.

Presque Isle led 14-13 at the end of the 1st Quarter, but Ellsworth led 26-23 at the end of the 1st Half. After outscoring the Wildcats 18-3 in the 3rd Quarter, Ellsworth led 44-26.

The Eagles were led by Hollis Grindal with a game-high 22 points, including a 3-pointer. Kyle Kenny had 12 points. Bryce Hart, and Zach Bray each had 2 3-pointes for the Eagles Ellsworth was just 1-8 from the free throw line.

Presque Isle was led by Bodey McPherson who had 11 points and 3 3-pointers. Brent Greenlaw finished with 8 points. Carter Vigue and Pruet Dionne each had a 3-pointr. Presque Isle was 3-6 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 5-1. They will host Old Town on Saturday, December 28th at 12:30. That game will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370 beginning with the pregame at 12:15 p.m. You can also hear the game on WDEA Internet Radio, on our FREE downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.

Presque Isle is 3-2. They will play at Orono on Saturday, December 28th at 4:30 p.m.
