Ellsworth Boys Beat Old Town 61-49

The Ellsworth Boys Basketball Team improved to 1-1, beating the Old Town Coyotes 61-49 at Mackenzie Gymnasium in Old Town, Tuesday, December 11th.

Old Town jumped out to a 12-7 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter, but Ellsworth outscored the Coyotes 26-10 in the 2nd Quarter to take a 33-22 lead at the end of the 1st Half. Ellsworth outscored Old Town 13-8 in the 3rd Quarter to take a 46-30 lead at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Ellsworth placed 3 players in double figures. Jackson Curtis had a game high 20 points. Hunter Curtis had 15 points and Darby Barry 12 points. Barry and Austin Harris each had a 3-pointer. The Eagles were 9-18 from the free throw line.

Old Town was paced by Dom Mitchell with 14 points while Jacob Cyr had 13 points. Chris Albert and Jacob Cyr each had a 3-pointer. The Coyotes were 11-16 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth now 1-1, will play host to GSA on Friday, December 14th, at 7PM, at Katsiaficas Gymnasium, in a game that will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device
