Ellsworth Boys Beat Medomak Valley 60-58 in Overtime in Preseason Game

The Ellsworth Boy's Basketball Team beat Medomak Valley 60-58 in overtime on Wednesday night, November 29th in a preseason game played at Katsiaficas Gymnasium at Ellsworth High School.

Ellsworth led 16-13 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 30-23 at the end of the 1st Half. The Eagles led 43-34 at the end of the 3rd Quarter. Medomak Valley outscored Ellsworth 19-10 in the 4th Quarter to tie the score 53-53 at the end of regulation.

In overtime, Ellsworth went 4-6 from the free throw line.

The Eagles were led by Kaleb Conners with 15 points. Dawson Curtis had 13 points while Chance Mercier had 11 points. The Eagles made 5 3-pointers in the game. Curtis and Connors each drained 2 3's, while Josiah James-Chin hit 1 3-pointer. The Eagles were 17-22 from the free throw line.

Medomak Valley was led by Kory Donlin with 18 points. Gabe Lash had 12 points and Kristian Shumann finished with 11 points. The Panthers hit 6 3-pointers in the game. Lush and Owen Dostie each had 2 3-pointers. Luke Cheesman and Kory Donlin each had 1 3-pointer. Medomak Valley was 12-18 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth will open their season on Friday December 8th at Bucksport at 7 p.m. That game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA with the pregame starting at 6:50 p.m. The game will also be broadcast on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.
