Ellsworth Boys Beat Houlton 61-47 [STATS]

The Ellsworth Boys took the drive up I-95 on Saturday, January 11th, coming home with a 61-47 win over the Houlton Shiretowners.

Ellsworth led 15-8 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 29-15 at the end of the 1st Half. The Eagles led 43-29 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Ellsworth was led by Kyle Kenny with 24 points. Hollis Grindal had 14 points with 2 3-pointers. Jackson Barry had 10 points, scoring all his points in the 4th Quarter including going 8-9 from the free throw line. Dawson Curtis had a 3-pointer. The Eagles were 16-23 from the free throw line.

Isaiah Ervin had a game-high 28 points to lead the Shiretowners. Brandon Barton, Mark Thibodeau and Jaden Wu each had a 3-pointer. Houlton was 8-11 from the free throw line.

Houlton is now 4-7 and will host Presque Isle on Wednesday, January 15th at 7 p.m.

Ellsworth is now 9-1. They will host Hermon on Tuesday, January 14th at 7 p.m.
