The Ellsworth Boys Basketball Team beat Caribou Friday night, December 22nd up in Caribou 81-56

The game was close through the 1st Half, with Caribou leading 16-15 after the end of the 1st Quarter and Ellsworth taking a 39-36 lead at the end of the 1st Half. But a 27-6 3rd Quarter advantage put the game out of reach, as Ellsworth led 65-50.

Ellsworth was led by Chance Mercier with a game-high 27 points. Dawson Curtis had 11 points. Ellsworth drained 8 3-pointers in the game. Curtis had 3 3's, Mercier and Hollis Grindal 2 3-pointers each and Miles Palmer added the other. Ellsworth was just 3-11 from the free throw line.

Caribou was led by Tristan Robbins with 17 points. Kaymen Sargent had 8 points. The Vikings hit 3 3-pointers on the night. Dylan Bouchard, Landen Belanger and Max Morrow all had 3-pointers. The Vikings were 9-16 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 4-1 while Caribou falls to 3-2
