Ellsworth Boys Beat Bucksport 64-38 [STATS]

The Ellsworth Boys Basketball Team improved their record to 1-1 on the season, defeating the Bucksport Golden Bucks in Bucksport, 64-38 on Friday night, January 22nd.

Hunter Curtis poured in 31 points for Ellsworth, leading all scorers, hitting 4 3-pointers along the way. Chance Mercier had his second game in a row with double figures, finishing with 10 points.

Ellsworth hit 4 3's on the night, and were 2-7 from the free throw line.

Bucksport was led by Logan Stanley with 18 points including a 3-pointer. Caden Blackwood finished with 10 points.

Bucksport had 1 3-pointer and was a perfect 7-7 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth led 15-12 at the end of the 1st Quarter and then went on a 22-2 run in the 2nd Quarter to take a 27-14 lead at the end of the 1st Half. Ellsworth led 49-33 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Ellsworth is back in action when they play at MDI on Wednesday, January 27th. It will be MDI's 1st game.
