Ellsworth Boys Beat Brewer 66-62 [STATS]

Despite trailing most of the game, the Ellsworth Boys outscored Brewer 21-9 in the decisive 4th Quarter to beat the Brewer Witches 66-62 in Brewer on Tuesday night, December 5th.

Brewer led 13-11 at the end of the 1st Quarter, and 36-23 at the end of the 1st Half. The Witches led 53-45 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Chance Mercier led all scorers with a game-high 33 points for Ellsworth. Braden King had 15 points. The Eagles had 4 3-pointers on the night. Dawson Curtis sank 2 and Chance Mercier and Braden King each had 1 3-pointer. The Eagles were 2-4 from the free throw line.

Brewer was led by Charles Brydges with 15 points. Jake Perry had 11 points and Owen Fullerton had 10 points. The Witches sank 5 3-pointers. Brydges had 2 3's, and Perry had 1. Ethan Leavitt had a 3-pointer and Steven Youngs had 1 3-pointer. Brewer was 5-11 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth opens the season on Friday, December 8th at Bucksport at 7 p.m. That game will be broadcast on AM 1370, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.

Brewer will open the season at home on Friday December 8th against Hampden Academy at 6 p.m. . That game will be live-streamed for free on Ticket TV
